The NLCC is issuing a challenge to all hikers in the greater Kearsarge area. The NLCC maintains 26 miles of trails of varying lengths and difficulty. Details can be found our trail page or on the town trail map available at local stores. To receive a patch, one must hike all the trails, fill out a trail completion form, and return it to the New London Town Office. These forms are also available at the Town Offices, the Chamber of Commerce Information Booth, Tracy Library, and at the Recreation Department Office in Whipple Hall.
The New London Conservation Commission happily awarded seven people, and one dog, a trail patch this year for hiking all the trails in town. We congratulate the following people for receiving the award:
Kimberly Tuthil
Kerri Mulhern
Kelly Sorenson
Laurie Schire and her dog Clorie
Emily Earnshaw
Justin Barna
Tom Coverdale.
Our thanks go out to Emma Crane, Ruth White, and others for designing the patch and developing this fun and educational program.
