The Molly Charles Trail is relatively flat. Highlights
include old growth pines, stone walls, a large erratic left by
glacial action, glimpses of King Hill Brook, and the remains of
an old well and water tank. The interpretive guide found
in the mail box near the trail head is informative and enhances the enjoyment of
this trail. The Molly-Charles Trail consists of a main
loop trail and two side trails in the Ausbon Sargent Land Preservation Trust (ASLPT)
William R. Cordingley Preserve. The trail head is on Soo Nipi
Road. Parking is along the road (P). The main trail passes
through quiet woods. The short side trails each lead to a brook
that flows through an extensive hemlock grove within the
preserve. The main trail is 0.3 miles in length and, when
combined with the side trails, provides a walk of less than a
half mile.
